Small group touring specialist Waratah Adventure Tours operates full-day Blue Mountains tours with German-speaking guides and commentary. The tour includes a visit to a koala sanctuary, breathtaking views over the World Heritage wilderness and a visit to Waradah Aboriginal Centre.

The Blue Mountains Country tour departs Monday, Wednesday and Friday with city hotel pickups from 7am to 7.30am. You’ll visit the Featherdale Wildlife Park where you can get up close to native animals. At Echo Point in the Blue Mountains marvel at the famous Three Sisters, a rock formation.

Waratah also offer the half-day Sydneysider Tour, departing Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 8.30am. You’ll visit the city’s iconic attractions including the world-famous Bondi Beach and enjoy spectacular views of Sydney Harbour, one of world’s greatest natural harbours.

There is also the Harbour Odyssey cruise, departing at 12.30pm from the Convention Centre Wharf at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour. The cruise of Sydney Harbour is on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and includes lunch, complimentary drinks and afternoon tea or coffee.

Quinkan Rainforest Adventure

This is an exciting three-day outback and rainforest safari in off-road vehicle, including wilderness lodge accommodation in tropical surrounds! Depart for the Great Dividing Ranges and the Lake Mitchell Wetlands. Continue to Split Rock in Quinkan Country to view the 20,000 years old Aboriginal rock paintings and stencils. In the afternoon arrive at Mungumby Rainforest Lodge, your accommodation for the next two nights. After breakfast drive to Cooktown, where Captain Cook hoisted the Union Jack in 1770 and claimed the continent for England. The view from Grassy Hill over the Endeavour River and the Coral Sea is breathtaking. In the afternoon visit the interesting James Cook Museum, a former convent school. After a refreshing stop at the famous "Lions Den Pub" in Helensvale, return to the lodge. Depart your wilderness oasis and travel on the dusty Bloomfield Track across the Bloomfield River and take in the tree giants and mangroves near Cape Tribulation. Enjoy the Daintree River cruise on the silent solar boat, where you might encounter saltwater crocodiles. Via Port Douglas and down the Coral Coast return to Palm Cove and Cairns.
