A morning with Boronia Tours will give you the opportunity to enjoy the scents and sounds of the bush, while you explore it in safety. See plants used by the Aborigines and early settlers. Wonder at the amazing diversity of Sydney's unique flora. Boronia Tours specialise in walks for small groups. Alternatively you can come along on a number of open group walks run by Boronia Tours in conjunction with other organisations such as The Hills Shire Council, Ryde Council and Parramatta Council - all these walks are free. Places visited include Bidjigal Reserve and Fred Caterson Reserve in the The Hills, Field of Mars Reserve in Gladesville and both sides of the Parramatta River. See the website for more details of walks provided and walks in the current program.
Boronia Tours - Hawkesbury
Boronia ToursBoronia Tours offers an easy two kilometre walk through part of the valley of Hunts Creek. The highlight of this walk is a waterfall cascading into a beautiful pool. If you are lucky you may see water dragons sunning themselves on the rocks or fairy wrens flitting through the bush. The walk to the waterfall is through a remnant of Sydney Turpentine Ironbark Forest. This vegetation type was once very common in Sydney but is now very rare as most of the trees were cleared for farms.
