School may be out, but the great classes and educational events on offer around Sydney never stop, whether you're a budding chef or a wannabe musician.

Future circus stars can get their thrills in Sydney. Master the tightrope and the trapeze and you could be running away and joining the circus sooner rather than later.

If bending like a pretzel is more your bag, check out Sydney's huge range of yoga classes, held in studios around Sydney (and even on the beach at Bondi). Home cooks keen to bump up their repertoire will find classes all over town, including at the Sydney Fish Markets in Pyrmont.

Lovers of art and music can check out regular masterclasses and free events at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. In Paddington, the Australian Centre for Photography runs classes on everything from camera craft to night photography. And you'll find art classes in life drawing, sculpture, painting or more for all ages around Sydney.

If Sydney's Aboriginal heritage floats your boat, visit La Perouse on a Sunday, where Laddie Timbery from the Bijigal Clan demonstrates the ‘returning boomerang' technique. You can buy locally made Aboriginal products here, including your very own boomerang. Just wait til you get home to practice, OK?
