The inner south suburb of Mascot can be found between Sydney Airport and the city, with Botany Bay to its east.
The airport takes up a large part of the suburb, with the main shopping and eating precinct spread along Botany Road, running between Beaconsfield and Alexandria. The area is accessible by buses which run along Botany Road, and there’s also a train station serviced by three train lines, with services to the airport. Mascot is the ideal place to stay if you need to be near the airport, and there is a multitude of hotels in the area, many of which are also available for conferences and events.
South of the airport is the seaside suburb of Cronulla. Cronulla events are varied and numerous, with everything from beachside markets to the surf competitions and competitive iron man and women events (triathlons). It’s also a great place to learn to surf, or just spend the day by the beach.
