Location: Shelly Beach is a pretty, sheltered cove just a few minutes drive from Manly. Either park in the carpark or take a 15 minute walk from Manly Beach along the promenade.

Details: Located on the picturesque Shelly beach in what was once a fisherman’s cottage, Le Kiosk boasts superb views across to Manly from every table, whether you are dining in the spacious main room, or on the adjoining terrace under the giant Moreton Bay fig tree. Inside, the sandstone walls, stone fireplace, timber floor and crisp white table linen complete the restaurant’s charm.

Profiled by de groots media: The surrounding sand, ocean and greenery give Le Kiosk a calm atmosphere, secluded from the traffic of the town. In wintertime, the fireplace is lit and diners watch storms roll in over the ocean whilst indulging in hot chocolate fondue. When the summer months arrive, cushions line ledges at the front of the restaurant, where bathers sit back and enjoy a glass of white wine and beer battered fries.
The menu is a fusion of French and Asian flavours, presenting classics from both cultures side by side. For entrée, try oysters served tempura with ponzu dipping sauce, or au natural with sherry mignonette. For mains, twice cooked pork belly with crisp crackling is sure to satisfy all palettes. The wine list features a nice selection of Austalian and New Zealand wines. A sip of the Tar & Roses pinot gris has warm and soft notes that cool off in a floral finish. Classic, timeless desserts are presented with elegance, from lemon tart to crème brulee.

Functions: Le Kiosk is an excellent choice for a wedding reception, corporate function or a private celebration either in the main dining room, or the adjoining private room. Originally a boatshed, the private room features a balcony offering stunning views over Shelly Beach and the Pacific Ocean. The capacity is up to 60 guests seated or 90 for a cocktail style party. The main restaurant is available for private hire for up to 120 guests seated or 220 cocktail-style. Group menus for bookings of ten to 40 people are available.
