Double Bay is known for its chic and stylish boutiques, but it also has lovely parks and picturesque streets. Double Bay is set on the Sydney Harbour’s southern shore between Rose Bay and Rushcutters Bay and is accessible by bus and ferry; the ferry also goes to Rose Bay and Watsons Bay. Redleaf Beach is a popular spot for a picnic, scenic walk or to take a dip, and at the western end of the beach, you’ll find Murray Rose Pool, a tidal enclosure set within the bay, with a wooden walkway around the pool’s edge.

Double Bay’s location by the water means that many boat and water-based Sydney’s events take place here. Yacht races, such as the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race held on Boxing Day each year, go past Double Bay, making it a great spot to settle in for a picnic and watch the sails go by. There’s also an organic and food market held each Thursday.
