Each year some of Sydney’s best hotels stage special events with degustation menus, live bands, fancy dress options and New Year’s Eve fireworks, on a huge screen or from a rooftop bar or dining room by the harbour.

At The Star, celebrate with panoramic harbour views for New Year’s Eve fireworks. The Star’s cool bars – The bar at Sokyo and Cherry – have DJs, cocktails, vibes and views. At Kable’s restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, celebrate the countdown to New Year’s Eve with a mouth-watering menu and champagne, of course.

Get into the groove with DJs and an MC to keep you dancing all night at the Hilton Sydney in George Street. See in the New Year with pre-fireworks cocktails, and a sumptuous dining experience at Café Opera in the beautiful InterContinental Sydney.  At the Observatory Hotel, sip on champagne, enjoy live music, and linger over a degustation menu before the fireworks. At Altitude Restaurant on level 36 in the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney, join in the party with a themed night that includes a degustation menu with matching wines and champagne.

The Sheraton on the Park helps the whole family celebrate with a New Year’s Eve buffet where everyone’s welcome to enjoy dinner and fireworks.
