With its plentiful cafes, stylish restaurants, chic boutiques and picturesque walks, Kings Cross has long been a popular place for travellers and Sydneysiders to explore. Historically a bohemian hub, with its speakeasies and late night coffee shops, these days the neighbourhood is an eclectic mix of businesses. Kings Cross is easily accessible by train, just a couple of stops from the centre of town, and is next to Darlinghurst, Potts Point and Woolloomooloo.
The Kings Cross neighbourhood plays host to a range of Sydney events including regular local markets and the annual Kings Cross Festival, held in February. It also has a vibrant theatre scene and a long history as a hub of music and clubbing - going ‘out to the Cross’ has been a rite of passage for Sydneysiders 18 and over for generations. Kings Cross is also a great place to base yourself when visiting Sydney, due to its proximity to the centre of the city, the Sydney Harbour and iconic Bondi Beach, as well as its buzzing cafe and restaurant scene.
