Sydney City Events

Sydney city is known for it’s breathtaking harbour, iconic monuments, gorgeous weather and laid-back lifestyle, and all these traits make it the ideal setting from some of the best local and internationally-acclaimed Sydney events. There’s a full calendar of high-quality happenings to take part in year-round, kicking of with the New Year’s Eve Celebrations (arguably the best NYE fireworks display in the world) and continuing throughout the year with performances concerts, gigs, art installations, markets and sporting events in the city’s public and private spaces.

Darling Harbour is the site of some of the city’s premiere events, with food and music festivals, kid-friendly activities, and fireworks throughout summer. Head to The Rocks for weekly markets, awesome music, and food and arts events. And Circular Quay, with its epic harbour views, plays host to some of the world’s top performers at the Sydney Opera House.
