Glebe Attractions

The inner-city suburb of Glebe features wide, tree-lined streets, well-preserved colonial architecture has over 20 heritage-listed buildings.

Just a short bus ride from the city centre, there’s plenty to see and do here, from a morning spent browsing at in independent bookstore to an afternoon enjoying a glass of local wine with friends at one of the area’s small bars.

One of the most popular activities in Glebe is to do the Glebe Foreshore Walk, which runs along the harbour from Bicentennial Park to Pyrmont. Head down Glebe Point Road, and you’ll discover hip cafes, cute bars, old-school pubs, and boutique stores selling everything from books to antiques to new-age trinkets. On Saturdays, a visit to the Glebe Markets is an absolute must, with handmade goods, clothing, and local food stalls. It’s the ideal spot to hunt for a gift or just have a relaxed wander and a browse, with around 200 stalls for you to peruse.
