Overview
Indigenous Culture Family Walk and Workshop – The Coal Loader invites you to bring your kids to take a discovery bush walk with Koori Kinnections, get 'hands-on' with traditional tools, and create your very own stone art to take home!
This workshop consists of two parts, a guided bushwalk and a stone art workshop.
Join Koori Kinnections to learn about Aboriginal culture in and around The Coal Loader.
This walk and talk is family-friendly and suitable for mixed physical abilities. Walking/rolling is involved. All children must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.
Visit the rock engraving site and discover the stories shared through these sites across Australia. Visit the Bush Tucker Garden and learn about traditional and contemporary uses of native plants.
Enjoy a walk and talk through the native bushland to learn about endemic species.
Kids and parents will create their own stone art in this hands-on workshop with Koori Kinnections. Learn about how and why Aboriginal Art was traditionally created and used and take home your own stone artwork (or hide it for someone else to find!)
