The Old Shed Distillery Blue Mountains

The Old Shed Distillery Blue Mountains is a family-owned craft distillery and cellar door in Bilpin, on Bells Line of Road in the Blue Mountains. Set among the apple orchards of the Hawkesbury, it is an easy day trip from Sydney and a favourite stop on any Blue Mountains drive.

The Hungerford family has farmed in Bilpin since the 1890s, and every small-batch spirit is still distilled in the original old shed on the family property. Taste handcrafted gin, vodka, single malt whisky and liqueurs made with botanicals and fruit grown and handpicked on the farm. Highlights include a gin infused with native strawberry gum, an orchard vodka distilled with home-grown oranges, a whisky matured in bourbon casks and an apple-cello made from crushed Bilpin apples.

The relaxed tasting room offers complimentary spirit tastings, tasting paddles, cocktails and bottles to take home. Dog friendly, family friendly and wheelchair accessible, it is one of the best things to do in Bilpin.
