Great Southern Nights
Overview
Sydney is set to come alive for Great Southern Nights 2026, with a stacked line up of artists performing across the city and Western Sydney - bringing big sounds to iconic stages and local favourites alike.
Opening night kicks off strong with Jessica Mauboy at City Recital Hall, followed by The Whitlams performing with a full orchestra at Coliseum Theatre and James Reyne the following weekend. Baker Boy brings his new album DJANDJAY to Dee Why RSL, while Thundercat lands at Hordern Pavilion. Move with the crowd at Keli Holiday, The Jungle Giants, Young Franco and Playlunch, before Peking Duk closes out the final weekend in style.
For the first time, the Chippendale Gig Trail takes over on Saturday 9 May, turning laneways and local haunts like Gin Lane, Sneaky Possum and The Lansdowne Hotel into a playground of pop-up performances and roving entertainment. Over in the Newtown Enmore Precinct, expect 12 hours of non-stop music—wander from venue to venue, discover hidden sets, and soak up the atmosphere at spots like Hive Bar, Rising Sun Workshop, The Duke of Enmore and Young Henrys.
