Explore the quieter waterways of Middle Harbour on this four-hour guided Eco Tour, travelling by human-powered sea kayak through sheltered waters bordering Garigal National Park.

Beginning at the Spit Bridge, paddle along the Mosman and Seaforth shorelines before leaving the busier harbour behind and entering secluded creeks, bushland shorelines and mangrove environments. Depending on tides, weather and paddling conditions, the route may include Sugarloaf Bay, Bantry Bay or Scotts Creek.

Along the way, your experienced guide will introduce you to the area's Aboriginal heritage, natural history, wildlife and environmental significance. Learn about the important role of mangroves as habitat and nursery areas for fish, crustaceans, birds and other marine species while keeping watch for local birdlife and marine life.

The route is selected according to the conditions on the day, and guests are briefed on responsible behaviour around wildlife, mangroves, beaches and sensitive shoreline environments.

Midway through the experience, go ashore at a secluded location for a relaxed picnic-style morning tea before returning to the water for the paddle back to the Spit Bridge.

No previous kayaking experience is required, and stable double sea kayaks, paddling equipment, safety instruction and professional guidance are included.
