Yandhai Nepean Crossing

Take in spectacular views of the Nepean River and lower Blue Mountains from the Yandhai Nepean Crossing, a striking 200-metre pedestrian and cycle bridge linking both sides of the river in Penrith.

The crossing forms part of the popular 6.4km Great River Walk loop and can be accessed from River Road in Emu Plains or Memorial Avenue in Penrith. Along the way, enjoy seating areas and viewing platforms that make it easy to stop, relax and soak up the scenery.

The name Yandhai comes from the Darug language and means "walking in past and present", recognising the cultural and historical significance of this important river crossing.

After your walk or ride, enjoy a picnic at nearby Tench Reserve, Weir Reserve or Regatta Park, or visit one of the many cafés and restaurants along the river for a well-earned bite to eat.
