The Deep North Festival

Overview
This December, 2025, Avalon, Whale and Palm Beach transform for a weekend of music, art, dance, creativity and fun.
The Deep North welcomes both locals and visitors to a destination of culture and connection.
The Deep North Festival is an extraordinary meeting of culture, community and coastline, being held for the very first time across three days, 5th to 7th of December, 2025.
An extraordinary line-up of performers, artists and speakers converge on our beautiful seaside village, from legends like William Barton, James Morrison, Eric Avery and Joseph Tawadros, to wilderness icon Bob Brown, Pulitzer Prize-winner Geraldine Brooks, philosopher Glenn Albrecht, psych-pop legends Le Shiv and exceptional local talents Ben Morgan, CJ Raggat and Tilli Kay.
Art Exhibitions include work by Tim Georgeson, Cybele Cox, Caressa Gonsalves and Louis Wayling, plus the Barrenjoey Artwalk brings the whole village to life. Plus poetry, tug-o-war, kids events, nature walks and free immersive art installations and incredible shows in our beautiful big top town tent.
This is community and creativity at its finest. We can't wait to welcome you. - Where culture meets coastline.
The Deep North is part of the Avalon Business Collective and is supported by the NSW Government through the Uptown Grant Program
