Science steps out of the lab and into the wild with the return of Greater Sydney Parklands' free family event - Science in the Swamp at Centennial Park.

From elephant toothpaste eruptions to dinosaur sightings, unforgettable neuroscience, AI storytelling, plus a downloadable map to take you on a Great Science Scavenger Hunt, this year's National Science Week event will be bigger than ever.

The UNSW SciFest Village is a huge new addition to Science in the Swamp featuring more than 30 sensational scientists and 10 hands-on exhibits sure to delight budding biologists, forensic fanatics wanting to solve a mystery, and anyone keen for a spider show or slime making. Cheer on a drone soccer match, experience optical illusions, explore the human body with 3D anatomy models, make a DNA friendship bracelet and jump into a fitness challenge.

Don't miss Creative Science's new 'Mind Blowing Science' show, see bug expert Tom Covell investigating mini beasts at the Young Entomologist Lab, and spot crowd-favourite Ginger the life-sized Australovenator dinosaur roaming the parks – get close if you dare!
