Walking with Wild Wombats
Overview
This walking with wild wombats tour gets guests close to wild wombats and kangaroos in their native environment. These iconic Australian native marsupials are free to roam and there are no fences that hold them there. Whilst this amazing tour focuses on the bare nose wombat (or common wombat), guests will see other Australian native animals including the kangaroo and wallaby as well as some Australian birds such as the lyrebird.
Travel Ideology picks you up from your central city hotel and we depart. It is a private tour so there are no other pickups and no walls of people scaring off the wildlife when we encounter wildlife. We visit stunning scenery including the world's largest blowhole, a beautiful waterfall, beaches, stunning hills, farmland, rainforest and more.
With luck, you will also have the opportunity to see some of Australia's other iconic wildlife. In addition to wild wombats and kangaroos, you will normally see wallabies, lyre birds and parrots. Occasionally, we see pelicans, echidnas, fruit bats and reptiles.
This unique and amazing private wombat tour stops at a lovely country pub for a late meal, giving you the opportunity to experience the charm and hospitality of an Australian country town.
