In Every Room - Closing Reflections

Overview
Join the closing event of 'in every room', a compelling exhibition featuring six Australian artists whose practices draw on personal and communal histories that confront tragic political legacies. Through their works, these artists ask urgent questions about responsibility, dignity, and legacy.
Hosted by journalist Farid Farid, this event invites in every room artists, Lara Chamas, Jagath Dheerasekara, Roberta Joy Rich, Sancintya Mohini Simpson and Curtis Taylor to speak about their work, research, and their decisions behind engaging with complex histories. The talks will be followed by a panel discussion led by Farid, exploring key provocations:
What does it mean to make art today?
How do we engage with stories and experiences beyond our own experiences?
What do you want audiences to take away after engaging with your work?
This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from artists whose practices are deeply rooted in research, reflection, and resistance.
This event will be Auslan interpreted.
