Based in Victoria's North-East Valleys, Gorman has been exhibiting professionally since 2006 following an earlier career in fashion design. Her distinctive practice combines a deep appreciation of colour with the influence of extensive travel, creating vibrant works that celebrate atmosphere, place and emotion rather than literal representation. A recipient of numerous art awards, Gorman's paintings are held in public and private collections throughout Australia and internationally, and Between Tide and Frond continues her celebrated exploration of landscape, memory and the joy of painting.
