Overview
One of Cronulla's most peaceful coastal gems is Greenhills Beach, a long, pristine stretch of sand north of Wanda Beach.
Known for its wide‑open shoreline, natural dunes and relaxed atmosphere, Greenhills offers a quieter alternative to Cronulla's busier patrolled beaches—perfect for long walks and scenic views
Greenhills Beach is recognised as one of Sydney's longest beaches, spanning approximately 3 kilometres as part of the Greenhills–North Cronulla coastline.
Dogs are permitted on the beach during off-leash hours only. The entrance to the off-leash area is at Gate 5. Dog off leash hours are;
- Dogs are allowed on the beach during non-daylight savings from 3pm to 10am
- Dogs are allowed on the beach during daylight savings time from 4pm to 10am
Please clean up after your dog using the bins provided. Dogs must be on a leash when entering and leaving the off-leash area. Always maintain effective control of your dog
A lifeguard observation tower is positioned at Track 6 at Greenhills beach for patrols during summer school holidays (December/January) and as required.
The closest public amenities block is at Don Lucas Reserve.
