Masterpiece Australian Opal Jewellery is a family-run opal boutique at Opera Quays, a short walk from the Sydney Opera House. The boutique has welcomed visitors on East Circular Quay for more than 25 years.

Every opal sold is genuine natural Australian opal from the country's great opal fields: black opal from Lightning Ridge, white and crystal opal from South Australia and boulder opal from Queensland. Solid opals are named by type, and doublets and triplets are always clearly labelled.

Pieces are designed and set in Sydney, many of them handcrafted in the boutique's own workshop, in gold, platinum and sterling silver. No two opals are alike, so every piece is one of a kind. Custom designs and engagement rings are made to order.

The owner is a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Australia and a qualified valuer, so visitors can ask questions and get honest answers. Every piece carries an authenticity guarantee, and eligible international visitors can claim a tax refund when they leave Australia.

Visitors are welcome to walk in without an appointment.
