Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabarett
Overview
Bernie Dieter's Club Kabarett is a riotous collision of live music, cabaret, circus, comedy, aerial performance and sideshow, led by the irrepressible German-born cabaret star Bernie Dieter.
The self-styled Queen of Weimar Punk brings her gin-soaked Haus Band and a world-class cast of performers to create an immersive night inspired by the decadent, rebellious spirit of Berlin's legendary cabaret scene. Expect breathtaking aerialists, fire-breathing sideshow, contortion, gender-bending performance, outrageous comedy and plenty of surprises — all driven by Bernie's powerful live vocals and original songs.
But beneath the glitter, chaos and outrageous humour is a celebration of individuality, freedom and difference. Drawing on the tradition of Weimar cabaret — where artists challenged convention and responded to a world of political and social upheaval — Club Kabarett creates a space where the rules are deliberately thrown out and audiences are invited to embrace the unexpected.
Bernie has performed to audiences around the world, including London's West End, Japan, Europe, Asia and Australia, and has appeared on BBC and NBC. She now brings Club Kabarett to Carriageworks in Sydney from 8 October to 8 November 2026.
Dark, funny, provocative and gloriously theatrical, Club Kabarett is an unforgettable celebration of live performance — and a triumphant rebellion against the mundane.
