Overview
The Social Brewers is a small Indigenous-owned, family-run brewery and distillery in Mortdale, in Sydney's St George area, pouring fresh local beer, spirits and good times from its relaxed neighbourhood taproom.
Just a short walk from Mortdale Station, the venue is an easy stop for craft beer lovers, locals, visitors and anyone looking for a laid-back Sydney experience away from the usual tourist trail.
Brewed on site, the beer range includes crisp lagers, juicy pale ales, bold IPAs and seasonal releases, alongside house-made spirits from Gungah Bay Distilling. Guests can enjoy a tasting paddle, settle in for a schooner, grab takeaway cans, or visit on weekends for food, sport, live music and community events.
The Social Brewers is proud to celebrate local flavour, Indigenous heritage and the simple joy of bringing people together over a great drink. Whether you are exploring southern Sydney, visiting friends in the area, or looking for a relaxed local taproom experience, The Social Brewers is a welcoming place to drink social.
Best for: craft beer, local spirits, tasting paddles, casual drinks, live music, sport, takeaway beer and relaxed weekend sessions.
