Twilight Garden Tour
Overview
As the sun sets, a hidden world awakens in the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
Join one of their expert ecologist-led tours as day turns to night in one of the most biodiverse places in the city. Spanning more than 30 hectares and home to over 27,000 plants from around the world, the Garden is home to nearly 100 species of vertebrates, including birds, mammals, reptiles and frogs.
As dusk settles, you are invited to observe the garden come to life, hear the dusk chorus of birdsong, see nocturnal animals take to the skies and trees and see the emergence of night blooming flowers. We'll use our senses and sometimes torchlight to help us locate animals and plants that have special nocturnal adaptations. We may see Brush-tailed possums, Flying foxes, Golden Orb Spiders, Longfin Eels, strangler figs and the ancient Wollemi Pine.
