A mate takes the microphone for two minutes with a short slide deck about why their single friend is a catch. It is funny, it is flattering and not at all awkward.

Once the pitches are done there are no games, everyone just mingles over a drink. Liked the look of someone? Go on up and say "Hi, I liked your pitch!"

Guests can come to pitch a mate, be the date, or simply mingle and enjoy the show.

Not single? No problem, non-single friends are welcome to come along and support their mate. Singles get a green wristband and non-singles an orange wristband.

The night takes place in The Den at The Chippo Hotel, a live performance room with a proper stage and professional lighting inside one of Sydney's best known vegan gastropubs, with a leafy beer garden alongside. It suits singles and their friends from their early twenties to late thirties.
