3 air-conditioned tour vehicles with experienced local guides take visitors on a friendly, informative three hour tour of Lightning Ridge and the surrounding Diggings. Highlights of the tour include Bodel's camp, the oldest camp in the 'Ridge, The 3 Mile Open Cut, Cutting and polishing demonstration, the Walk-in-Mine, dive by of Amigo's Castle and the Astronomers Monument and a private viewing of a unique collection of precious opal and exclusive to our tour, a visit to the Black Queen, antique lamp museum and unique camp made of recycled materials. All tours include a Devonshire Tea while viewing the cutting.
