Escape to Dunedoo, a pretty town adjacent to the Talbragar River. It boasts a landscaped park and recreation area that extends almost the entire length of the main street.This is a great place to stretch your legs and enjoy a peaceful stopover on your drive through Central NSW.
History
Dunedoo was named after an Aboriginal word meaning "swan". These birds were once common on nearby lagoons. Part of the 1978 movie, "The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith", was filmed at the old courthouse and jail at Cobbora, near Dunedoo.
