Approaching by air you see a long narrow island with two high, usually cloud topped peaks at one end, a shallow lagoon with breakers on its perimeter, little evidence of occupation and a clothing of mainly palm vegetation which is quite different from that which you left on the mainland.
  
  This program includes many walks, as this is the best way to experience the natural features of the Island. Some walking is on rough tracks and most tracks are hilly. Your program leader will be able to describe each of the walks and their grading before setting out each day.
