The acclaimed Belvoir St Theatre in Surry Hills sets the stage for more intimate performances and has nurtured some of the country’s best acting talents such as Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush.

The heritage-listed King Street Theatre in Newtown presents theatrical experiences ranging from drama and cabaret to comedy and illusion.

Marian Street Theatre for Young People in Killara is the place for plays for children, with productions such as Snow White and The Pied Piper, and drama classes for all ages.

The Sydney Lyric attracts premiere plays, musicals and operas including Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story on Stage. The Capitol Theatre is another great venue for blockbuster musicals such as Wicked and Les Misérables.
