This majestic performance space, with its fusion of Gothic, Italian and Art deco design, hosts plays and performances of the highest calibre, showcasing Australian and international acting talents that are sure to make you laugh, cry and cheer.

The acclaimed Belvoir St Theatre in Surry Hills sets the stage for more intimate performances and has nurtured some of the country’s best acting talents such as Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush.

The heritage-listed King Street Theatre in Newtown presents theatrical experiences ranging from drama and cabaret to comedy and illusion.

Marian Street Theatre for Young People in Killara is the place for plays for children, with productions such as Snow White and The Pied Piper, and drama classes for all ages.

The Sydney Lyric attracts premiere plays, musicals and operas including Strictly Ballroom the Musical by Australia’s own world-renowned director, Baz Luhrmann. The Capitol Theatre is another great venue for blockbuster musicals such as the Lion King.
