Cracker Night Sydney Comedy Festival

Sydney is a vivacious city with a vibrant comedy circuit. From intimate basement clubs to sell-out theatre shows, local comedians cut their teeth alongside major international acts in the comedy clubs of Sydney. Check out some of Sydney’s best comedy venues below.

Well-regarded for its musical roots, The Enmore in Newtown is also an excellent venue for live comedy. Not only is it the longest-serving music venue in New South Wales, but the art deco performance space also plays host to both major names and emerging comedians on a regular basis. As well as hosting touring comedy shows and comedians all year round, The Enmore also hosts a weekly comedy night throughout summer.

Catch Sydney’s premier comedy event, the annual Sydney Comedy Festival, to see the world’s funniest comedians perform at a variety of venues across the city. The program is a celebration of comedy showcasing a range of styles, from stand up and satire to absurdist theatre and musical journeys. The festival begins in April with a gala at the Sydney Opera House and ends with a 56-stop showcase tour across Australia.
