Featured Photographer: Bokeh & Co Photography

8 June 2017

We’re a wife and husband duo; Angela & James, with a passion for photography who co-founded Bokeh & Co Photography.

Many people ask “where did the name Bokeh & Co come from?” For those of you who don’t know it’s a photography term that describes “the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens”. It’s one of our favourite styles of photography to shoot, so we thought it would be fitting for our company name.

With a passion for travel photography, soon our hobby turned into a profession. We specialise in corporate, events, christenings, birthdays, family portraits, landscape, civil/construction and drone photography.

The key features to our landscape photography are sky, sun and water. There is nothing better than an early morning sunrise, or dusk sunset with Sydney as the backdrop! With two young toddlers in tow, we are privileged to live in this amazing city that has so many picturesque locations to discover around every corner.

For equipment, we are avid Nikon fans, with full frame Nikon series cameras, lenses & flashes. The Sony RX100 is our trusty compact which is a great travel companion and we can’t forget to mention our set of Nisi filters which we never leave home without!

Our latest obsession is taking breathtaking landscapes using a DJI Phantom 4 drone which allows us to capture angles never possible before when on land.
