James Vodicka is an award-winning photographer, born and raised in Sydney’s north. At just 19 years of age, James has already received national attention for his photographic work, recently announced as the 2016 Teenage Photographer of the Year by Australian Camera magazine.
After first picking up a DSLR camera in 2014, James’ initial interest in photography was in documenting his family holidays, both locally and abroad. He has since developed a photographic style that highlights his love for the ocean, adventure and travel, sharing imagery that he hopes will inspire others to explore the hidden beauty of the Earth’s coastal landscapes.
When he isn’t travelling, working or busy with his university studies in Marketing and Media, James enjoys exploring the Sydney coastline, producing photographs from both above and below the surface of the ocean. James’ favourite spots to photograph in Sydney are Palm Beach from Barrenjoey Headland, North Narrabeen ocean pool and Fairy Bower Pool, Manly.
