MEFF - Multicultural Eid Festival and Fair

The Fairfield Showground will be turned into a multicultural market place with over 150 stalls selling a huge variety of delicious food, clothing, jewellery, toys, showbags and more. There will be many exciting rides for young and old, new variety of cultural programs, martial arts displays, drama, songs, folk dances, Congregation prayers in thousands and other festivities.

Multicultural Eid Festival and Fair (MEFF) is a showcase of Islamic unity in diversity and Australian multiculturalism in action. A big family event, largest gathering of Muslims in the southern hemisphere, attracting up to 30,000 people - Muslims and non-Muslims, families of multicultural backgrounds joined by federal, state and local politicians, community leaders and imams, all together in peace, unity and enjoyment.

The annual MEFF festival has been regularly held for the last 28 years after the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr at the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
