Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Sydney is a community based non-profit Organisation that has provided community services since 1996, and have more than 800 devotees. They organise various functions such as Diwali Unkut Utsav, Janmashtmi, Kite Festival, Satsang Sabha's, Kids Education and Spiritual developments among others.

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Sydney has been organising the Kite festival since 1999, when it started in Fagan Park with large numbers of families coming to fly kites and enjoy the competition. In order to increase the value of the festival and the number of attendees, this year's festival will be held at Fairfield Showground, with much improved facilities. More than 4000 people attended the Kite Festival last year.
