Nestled on the banks of the magnificent Hawkesbury River and at the foot of the Blue Mountains, the historic town of Windsor is home to the Hawkesbury International Sand Sculpting Championships.
For four days in January 2012, a dozen sand sculptors from Australia and around the world will compete to be crowned champion in the inaugural event to be held on the banks of the Hawkesbury River at Windsor's Howe Park. The winner will be announced on January 11th and the exhibition will continue through January 29, 2012.
