Eye of the Beholder: The Art of Lucy Culliton
Launching Mosman Art Gallery's Spring program, Eye of the Beholder: The Art of Lucy Culliton, is the first survey exhibition to examine the work of one of Australia's most talented and much loved painters, Lucy Culliton.
Featuring more than 100 artworks exploring the artist's oeuvre from 1997 to 2014, this survey moves between plein air landscape subjects, (including her homes at Hartley and Bibbenluke in regional NSW) to domestic still life subjects (plants and her collections of curios) to interiors, portraiture and figurative works including Lucy's beloved pets and farm animals.
Winner of the Mosman Art Prize in 2000 and Portia Geach Memorial Award in 2006, Lucy Culliton is also well known as a regular finalist in the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes at AGNSW and is represented in many important public and private art collections.
