Corroboree Sydney

Corroboree Sydney is an annual Sydney festival, returning for its first encore in 2014, over 11 days in November.

Corroboree Sydney brings together Indigenous art, craft and culture from around the nation and will become Sydney's major event for Indigenous cultural expression. At the core of the program will be art, talks, films and performances produced by nine cultural institutions that have collaborated to develop the festival, supplemented by public events along the Harbour foreshore.

Corroboree Sydney opens with Gurung: a parade of schoolchildren down Macquarie Street, from Sydney wide primary schools, accompanied by the Council of Elders and festival Patron Prof. Marie Bashir. With thanks to The Balnaves Foundation for their generous support.

Other Signature events include the Corroboree Club, Black Arts Markets and Corroboree Studio. More than 100 events occur in eight locations around Sydney's magnificent foreshore will take place as part of the festival.
