Sydney taxi hubs

Taxis can be picked up at ranks near major railway stations, major transport interchanges, city hotels and sports venues. They can also be hailed on the street when their rooftop orange light is on. From 10.00pm to 6.00am higher night tariffs apply. Use the taxis app to book your next cab.

Sydney and surrounds is well served by an extensive transport network operating from transport hubs.

Sydney Airport
If you're flying into Sydney, you'll land either at Sydney Domestic or International airports, both about 10km south of the city centre. Both terminals are well served by buses and shuttles. Sydney Buses
Sydney’s major bus terminals are located at Circular Quay, Wynyard, Town Hall and Central Station (Eddy Avenue and Railway Square). Information about bus timetables and routes is available from bus kiosks at Circular Quay, Wynyard Station, Queen Victoria Building and Sydney Central Station. Sydney Ferries
The hub of Sydney’s waterways travel is Circular Quay, the ferry terminus situated at the northern end of the city centre. Every government ferry service comes in and out of Circular Quay. Ferries do not run 24-hours a day (many stop around midnight), so always check Sydney Ferries timetables.
Sydney Trains
Sydney Central Station, at the southern end of the city centre, is Australia’s largest railway station. This major railway station services almost all the CityRail lines, as well as being the major terminus for CountryLink (NSW’s rural rail service) and all interstate rail services.
