First class fine dining isn't what you would expect in suburban Sylvania but at Kalevu Restaurant, that is exactly what is on the menu. Christopher Pennells, who trained at Guillaume at Bennelong, opened Kalevu with hopes to broaden the palate of a clientele that ''still loves its fried flathead'', says Pennells. The Modern Australian menu changes often and if you want a unique experience – opt for the "Leave it to the Chef – mystery 5 course experience". The locals love it and the rest of Sydney is driving the distance to get a table.
