The only harbour island where you can stay overnight, Cockatoo Island boasts a unique offering of accommodation options to suit all budgets and tastes. From luxury houses and apartments to camping packages, Cockatoo Island is conveniently only a short ferry ride from the central business district.

The Heritage Holiday Houses feature two fully self-contained, four-bedroom houses. Perched on the upper plateau in a leafy part of the island, they have beautifully restored rooms and are surrounded by heritage gardens and views of the harbour. The houses are ideal for groups of up to ten people.

The Harbour View Apartments include two semi-detached, self-contained houses upstairs (23A and 23B), and one fully self-contained one bedroom apartment downstairs (23C).

Once home to Cockatoo Island's medical officer and engineering manager, the beautifully restored Heritage Holiday Houses are now the largest of Cockatoo Island's accommodation options. Consisting of two, fully self-contained, four bedroom houses, these charming buildings retain their historical 'Federation' character while offering you all modern amenities.

Perched on the upper plateau of Cockatoo Island, they are surrounded by heritage gardens and feature breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour. Each home can accommodate groups of up to ten people.

Bedding configuration consists of three king beds (each can be split into two singles), one queen bed, and one double sofa - extra charges apply.

Formerly the residences of the Launch Driver and Coxswain of Cockatoo Island, the Harbour View Apartments are now three beautifully restored apartments accommodating up to four guests. Upstairs, the two bedroom apartments have a queen bed and a split king bed. Each feature their own east-facing entertaining balcony with sweeping views of Sydney Harbour.

They can also be opened up to create a single apartment capable of sleeping up to eight people. During mid-week, they are also available to rent as a one bedroom. Downstairs, the one bedroom apartment, with Queen bed and suitable for two people, is surrounded by a landscaped garden and also has its own deck with Sydney Harbour views.

The Garden Apartment is a semi-detached, self-contained two bedroom apartment that can sleep up to four people. It is perfect for families or people who want some extra room to relax and enjoy Cockatoo Island. The apartment has a large north-facing entertaining balcony and a spacious enclosed garden area with views across Sydney Harbour to Woolwich and Hunters Hill.

Bedding configuration consists of one queen bed and one split king bed. The apartment can also be utilised as a one bedroom apartment, midweek only.

Formerly the Cockatoo Island Fire Station, this building is now a comfortable studio apartment with a large westward-facing deck that overlooks Sydney Harbour and the nearby suburbs of Woolwich, Hunters Hill and Gladesville. The studio features an open plan lounge, living and bedroom as well as a fully self-contained separate kitchen.

Bedding configuration consists of one queen bed.
