The nude is one of art’s oldest subjects, with a rich history of beauty and desire, eroticism and tenderness, secrets and scandal.

In a partnership between Tate, London and the Art Gallery of New South Wales, this collection presents the story of the nude through more than 100 powerful artworks spanning two centuries, including work from renowned artists such as Pablo Picasso, Lucian Freud and Henri Matisse.

Nude: art from the Tate collection is presented exclusively in Australia by the Art Gallery of New South Wales as part of the 2016-17 Sydney International Art Series.
