Established in 1870, Sydney Rowing Club is the oldest rowing club in NSW with past members including A.B. "Banjo" Patterson and the first Prime Minister of Australia, Sir Edmund Barton. After a recent major redevelopment Sydney Rowing Club was awarded Best Club Development (2009), Best Restaurant -Dedes Restaurant (2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011), Best Casual Dining Venue - Watergrill (2009, 2010 and 2011) and Best Wedding services (2009).
