Housed in a renovated warehouse building steps from King Street, Berkelouw Books's Newtown branch isn't a typical bookstore.

The second-floor café serves organic fair trade coffee and fresh pastries and breads baked on-site - an ideal spot to curl up with a good book. Tucked in the back of the ground floor is a 36-seat Ramen Bar. Upstairs, the airy loft houses a collection of more than 50,000 rare and used books.

Opening times

Monday to Wednesday 10am – 9pm; Thursday to Saturday 10am – 10pm; Sunday 10am – 8pm.
