The steep dunes and headland make for great sunrise and sunset viewing. It runs from Booderee National Park in the north to Sussex Inlet in the south, and is separated from St Georges Basin by transgressive sand dunes.
It is a great spot for swimming and surfing especially at north end which is sheltered from the Summer North East winds.
