This five-suite retreat offers guests a little pocket of Spain’s Basque country in the Hunter Valley. The hacienda-style escape flows into a tranquil, central courtyard where, glass of wine in hand, you might momentarily be transported to San Sebastian.

The theme extends to the celebrated on-site restaurant, Sebastian, where the menu is inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Basque country and informed by the incredible produce of the Hunter region.

Each unique suite is designed with Spanish-accented luxury in mind. Tactile terracotta tiles, wood and textiles invite guests to fully unwind within the scenic New South Wales surrounds.

When not lounging in their beautiful rooms, guests can enjoy the onsite pool, a game of croquet or try their hand at archery. From the Lodge, there are options to explore the Hunter’s world-class wineries and vineyards on a bike ride or walk, take a masterclass to delve deeper into the area’s produce and wines, or board a helicopter for a cellar door tour.
